Since I’ve failed to maintain the newsletter releases throughout the year, this is a powerthough article to touch on events through the year. 2023 might see some better documentation.
In 2022 Murrays Sports has participated in, supported or hosted a number of events. Including but not limited to: Hobie Class Racing, Prindle Racing, MFG Demo Days, Open class racing, fleet camp outs!

TKB Test Week – Brooke and Dray went to La Ventana to check out the new Wing and Kite gear with The Kite Boarding Magazine crew.

Luekemia Cup – Tom Raced Cats with the AZ Yacht Club and and bunch of Arizona Cat sailors at Lake Pleasant
SW Regional FWC Championships in San Diego – Steve and Tom raced Waves in South Bay, San Diego.

Spring Wing Thing – Arizona Wind Fanatics and Murrays Put on an instructional/ demo day at Lake Pleasant, AZ.
Cinco De Mayo Regatta – Tom joined the Fleet 66 hosted Cinco De Mayo HCA regatta in Rocky Point, MX
May 2022
Airrush Demo – Murrays and Airrush Hosted a wing and kite demo at Ledbetter Beach in Santa Barbara.
Round Treasure Island 2022- Tom Hosted The annual RTI Hobie Class Points Regatta in Alameda, CA.
June 2022
San Diego Classic – Tom and Steve went down to San Diego for the annual HCA regatta.
July 2022
Milt Ingram Race – Tom joined the Pierpont Yacht Club for part of their Tri-Point Series, racing out of Ventura and around the Annacapa Island. The Milt Ingram often suffers from light breeze and the race was shortened to an oil platform rounding instead.
F-One Demo – Murrays and F-One Hosted a demo weekend at Ledbetter Beach in Santa Barbara. Billy and Nico came down from San Francisco to help show off the current and new gear from F-One. Big Wings and Foils and king at Ledbetter beach.
August 2022
Mile High Regatta – Steve and Tom went up to Huntington Lake in the mountains above Fresno for one of two annual beach cat regattas hosted up there. Lots of rain made for some sketchy conditions. The fluky breeze on Sun morning enabled some tow foiling shenanigans!
Surf n Suds Beer Festival – Tom, Dray and Steve rocked a booth at the local beer and music festival in Carpinteria. A lucky beer pong/ raffle winner got a free foil kit!
September 2022
AWSI- Brooke, Dray and Tom ventured up to Hood River, OR to attend the annual vendor show on the Columbia River to see the new wing, kite and windsurf gear from top manufacturers. We got a chance to chat with vendors and capture some nice videos to share with you. Check ’em out on our youtube chanel!

October 2022
Pinata Regatta 2022 – Tom headed down to Rocky Point again for the Fleet 514 annual regatta. Great food, drink and friends.
November 2022
Dinghy Days – Tom raced in the south west regional Sunfish championships on Lake Pleasant. Moderate breeze Sat and exciting 20+ breeze on Sunday. Sunfish can skip along the water like a cat in good breeze.
December 2022
Governors Cup – Tom raced with 14 other cats and 17 total multihulls in the annual AYC governor’s cup. The breeze didn’t cooperate and nobody finished on Sat, but the afterparty was everything we look for in a beachcat club event. Good camping, bonfire, smoked brisket, and smiles!
