5/7/2021: Update

We are mostly back to business as usual. Half of the staff has been vaccinated, and easing of regional restrictions have made it much easier to operate efficiently. We are still experiencing very high demand for products, expertise and services, so we have occasional delays in production and availability. We have also experiencing some issues with shipping carriers being overwhelmed that creates delays in deliveries. See our recent blog post for more information.

 

1/6/2021: Update

We are back open with mostly normal functionality. We are working through additional covid operating restrictions, to keep our staff and customers safe.

12/22/2020: Update

At this time our rigging/ assembly department is closed/ on holiday for the rest of the year. We will produce and ship rigging and kits that are out of stock when we come back in Jan. We will still be shipping orders out the next couple of days before the holiday for parts that we have in stock. Between covid issues and holiday shipping issues, you can expect significant shipping delays among all carriers and services. Have a happy holidays and a great new year!

 

12/8/2020: Update

We have managed to get through this difficult year with fantastic performance by our staff and patient understanding of our customers. Our covid protocols and our general business model allows us to continue during the lockdown.

07/16/2020: Update

July has come up fast. Ronstan, Forward WIP and Hobie Cat Co. parts have been experiencing extreme delivery delays. Our staff is mostly back in the office with distancing and increased cleaning protocols in place to comply with CA and Santa Barbara co safety requirements. Pardon the cliche, but we have been experiencing higher than normal call volume and may not be able to return calls the same day. We hope you’re having a good summer and staying safe out there.

05/25/2020: Update

Happy Memorial Day! We are practically running at full steam, with a combination in house(warehouse staff) and at home(office staff) allowing us to take your orders and build your parts. Hobie has opened back up, and some of the Hobie parts should become more available soon. Our shipping department is a bit restricted at the moment, but we are adding shifts and getting used to our new protocols. This is allowing us to avoid delivery delays and help get you on the water faster!

05/14/2020: Update

California is lifting restrictions! We are still functioning in limited capacity, but have setup further guidelines and brought more staff back into the warehouse to facilitate more rigging and MFG potential as well as increased shipping potential. Due to distance and cleaning protocols we are still experiencing some delays, but at this point all vendors have re-opened and backorders should be filled more readily. Thank you for your patience and stay safe out there.

04/08/2020: Update

Murrays Sports is still functioning in a limited capacity. We will have limited shipping capabilities on Tuesdays and Thursdays while we are manufacturing parts or other warehouse tasks. So for the near future, orders placed on Tuesdays or Thursdays (or previous evenings) will likely not be shipped until the following day. So if you order on Monday night at 9pm PST, your order will likely not ship until Wednesday.

We continue to practice thorough disinfecting and cleaning routines while we monitor state and federal recommended guidelines to best serve our customers and staff while keeping everyone safe. Some supply chains have been effected. Some of our vendors have switched manufacturing to PPE or other MFG focus to aide in addressing this crisis. We will continue to keep you updated and serve you as long as it is safe to do so.

 

03/23/2020: Update

This pandemic is effecting the economy of our state, our nation, and our world. We appreciate your business as much as ever, during these difficult times. We want to continue to do everything we can to faithfully serve our customers.

As many of you know, a “Shelter in Place” Order has been issued for the state of California. While we are still open for business, this does create strain on our supply chain. We are doing everything in our power to continue to fulfill your orders, promote public health and comply with government guidance.

In an effort to follow CDC guidelines we have moved many office tasks offsite. FedEx, UPS, and USPS are remaining fully operational to receive orders packaged in the Murrays Warehouse. Walk-in customers are temporarily restricted at this time.

As many of our suppliers and manufacturers are being forced to close until further notice, we appreciate your patience while we navigate trying to fulfill orders for anything that we do not have in stock.

03/19/2020: Update

A Message from Murrays Regarding COVID-19

Murrays wants to assure our loyal customers that we are taking the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) very seriously. We are dedicated to doing the best we can to ensure the health and well being of our customers and staff. Fortunately our business model currently complies with social distancing recommendations with customer interaction being primarily through our website, phone or e-mail.

Steps we are taking:

  • We are increasing the cleaning and sanitizing of our office and warehouse.
  • Staff interactions and shifts are being reduced to ensure that any potential contamination will be minimal.
  • Murrays Sports is closely monitoring updates regarding the outbreak in our immediate area as well as the country as a whole.

 

At this time we will remain open unless local governments mandate otherwise or it becomes seemingly unwise to do so. If our warehouse must close, our shipments and receipts will be suspended. We will still be available for limited back ordering and our standard expert advice to our customers. Any further status changes will be reflected in updates to our website.
