Fids are the only tools for splicing all kinds of rope. Selma fids are made in Norway of highly polished stainless steel. The patented set of 5 fids splices 1/8" to 9/16" braid-on-braid, including yacht line and hollow braided lines from 3.5 to 14 mm diameter, as well as 3-stranded twine or rope up to 28 mm diameter. Selma fids are also available in a set of 4 or individually.
