The Ultralite Jib Clew Block Kit uses 30mm Orbit Blocks with Dyneema® lashing and pigtails and is for cats with jib clew that is more than 6” away from jib sheet cleating blocks when fully sheeted (as on Hobie® 18). Dyneema® pigtails reduce weight of blocks and sheets at the clew and increase speed of sheeting. Ultra-light weight… You'll notice the BIGGEST difference when sailing downwind in lighter air when jib clew is not so weighted down. Eye-spliced loops allow quick clove-hitch connection and release of clew blocks without removing jib sheet. Pigtail length is fully adjustable and is quick to attach and remove for speedy set-up and take down. Once correct length is determined, the adjustment knots must be tightened and secured to prevent slipping under load (glue works well). Specifications
